Watching Out for Us Pedestrian Safety

Wednesday, June 5, 10:30am

Watching Out for Us is a presentation on pedestrian safety for the older adult.  This workshop describes what older adults can do to be as safe as possible while walking and how driver behavior, the physical environment, and traffic law enforcement can help improve walking conditions.

At the end of the presentation, a gait speed screening will be done for each participant.  This screening will determine the time it takes for you to walk a certain distance which is important to know when crossing the street.
