Cooking Demos

Cooking with Teri
Tuesday, January 31, 11:00am
Warm up this winter and create a hearty soup with Teri Wassel, MS, RD!  Teri will share ideas for soups so you can put all the ingredients in your slower cooker, make yourself cozy, fix it and forget it (until it’s time to eat, of course).  Teri Wassel, MS, RD, is a Public Health Nutritionist for Montgomery County who enjoys teaching our senior center participants how to incorporate healthy eating into their daily routines. The best part?  Samples.  Registration required by January 26.  Stop by our front desk or call 215-723-5841.

Behind the Kitchen Counter
Tuesday, March 7, 1:30
Join Executive Director Doug Eschbach for a cooking demo in the Generations Cafe! Hear fun stories and enjoy Doug’s infectious laughter as he prepares favorite dishes to help you entertain for the big game. Connect with us for an entertaining afternoon of cooking and creativity. This month features obscure ingredients (like cream of tartar and Worcestershire sauce) and their best uses. Attendees will be given a "take out" meal of Doug's creation (a suggested donation of $7 per meal is appreciated). Registration required.  Stop by our front desk or call 215-723-5841.
