Generations of Indian Valley is a full-service community center serving active older adults age 55 and over with programs in health and fitness, recreation, education, and nutrition. Many intergenerational programs and community partnerships bring a wide variety to Center programming. The Center also provides the Meals on Wheels program for 7 surrounding municipalities and served over 42,000 meals in the community in 2008 through the assistance of over 215 volunteers. For seniors who require personal support, the Center offers an Adult Day Services program in partnership with the North Penn Visiting Nurse Association. Social services include counseling, information and referral, legal aid, tax assistance, PACE and LIHEAP assistance, and guidance on Medicare issues
Generations of Indian Valley was founded in 1967 as The Senior Adult Activity Center of Indian Valley by 50 charter members. We moved to our current location on 2nd Street in Souderton, PA in 1987. In 2008, we changed our name to Generations of Indian Valley to more accurately represent the community members we serve.
