PA Medi (formerly APPRISE) Appointments

Ed Savitsky, our PA Medi counselor, will answer your Medicare questions and help you make good health insurance decisions once you turn 65. This service is free and open to members of the community and typically takes place on the 1st Thursday of the month at Generations. Check the newsletter and current calendar for upcoming appointment times. Participants must register in advance. Call Social Services at 215-723-1930.


PA Medi (formerly APPRISE) Medicare Counselling – Free, Confidential, Comprehensive

Are you nearing age 65? Medicare is knocking at your door and selecting the appropriate options can be confusing.

PA Medi volunteer counselors are state-trained and certified to answer your questions about Medicare and provide you with objective, easy-to-understand information about health insurance. PA Medi counselors can answer your questions about Medicare, Medicare Supplemental Insurance, Medicare Advantage plans as well as prescription drug plans.

Whether you are new to Medicare or have been on Medicare for a while you may have questions. Counselors are available throughout the year as well as the critical Open Enrollment period of October 15 through December 7.

Residents with limited income may qualify for additional support through a variety of programs and financial assistance may be available. Talking with a counselor is free and confidential.
