Meals on Wheels Winter Weather Policy

Listen for Souderton Area School District (#309). If SASD is closed, Generations is closed. If SASD has a delayed opening, Generations also delays opening - at 10:00 am for a 1-hour delay and at 11:00 am for a 2-hour delay. Activities scheduled to begin before these opening times are canceled. If the school district is closed, there will be no meal deliveries. When there is a delay, Meals on Wheels will operate and we will deliver meals.
                                                      

Meals on Wheels of Indian Valley is a non-profit organization that delivers hot and cold nutritious meals five days a week.

Many recipients need meal assistance to help speed recovery from an illness, injury, or hospitalization.  Other recipients are chronically ill or permanently incapacitated with limited ability to prepare nourishing meals. All clients are over 60, and are homebound.

We serve the following communities in Montgomery County: Souderton, Telford,  Franconia Township, Hatfield Township, Lower Salford, Salford, and Upper Salford Townships.
