Fail to Plan... Plan to Fail   Eating healthy requires time and preparation.  When you are cooking for a small number you may think, “why bother?”  Let us show you how easy it can be to eat healthy, on a budget and feel good about what you are eating.  There are so many Grab and Go items at the grocery store.  We can show you how to supplement these items with foods you have at home to make a complete meal without all the time. We will sample a few of these items and just maybe you will be able to prepare some at home too.   This class features menus, recipes and food demos.  Taught by Registered Dietician,  Katie Marger.  Attend one or all classes. Free for those 60 and over; $10 (one time fee) for those under 60.   Register:  215-723-5841

Coming in June:  Should I Take Supplements?

Help Yourself to Healthy Living

The Support You Need:
Grief Support Group
1st Wednesday of each month 1:00 PM

The Grief & Loss Support group has been a good time for many to just meet and talk about the challenges which result from some of life’s very hard transitions.  We share, in a confidential way, responses to these very significant life changes.  Although the focus has not been primarily upon “fixing,” there has been a real benefit from expressing feelings and responding to each others thoughts and experiences.   No need to sign up; just show up.

Family Caregivers Group
Held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 10:00am

If you are caring for an elderly or handicapped individual, this group is for you!  Each month, the group shares ideas and learns about available resources.
The group is facilitated by Terry Shomberg, RN, and Generations Social Work Intern Kim Winton.  Free, on-site respite care is offered for your loved one at North Penn Visiting Nurses Adult Day Center next door.  Contact the Social Services office at 215.723.1930.  To reserve a space for respite care during the meeting, call 215.703.0583
