Since Generations opened its doors after the pandemic, we have been offering both an indoor, seated meal and a take-out meal. We wanted to provide nutrition to people in the way that felt safest to them.
As our indoor meal has resumed, it is increasingly difficult to provide a large number of take-out meals. Since an important part of the Center’s mission is to help people connect with each other, we’re planning to return to an indoor noon meal program where you can enjoy a healthy, delicious meal at the same price as always – an anonymous, voluntary contribution.
We are also hoping to add more flexible seating during our noon meal whereby some can enjoy gathering around a large table for eight and others may share a smaller table.
IF you have benefitted from the take-out meal program because of a special family situation (such as a homebound spouse), Generations will continue to provide a limited number of take-out meals to support those in special circumstances. Effective October 1, please speak with Emily Filice, Social Services Coordinator, to receive a take-out meal.
We will also be expanding our a la carte Cafe options to include take out meals. From 9am-1pm (extended hours), you can enjoy our fresh daily specials in the Cafe (without a reservation) or purchase a take-out meal to be reheated.
