Life After Covid-Related Loss

October 20, 2022

The feelings of grief from loss of family members and from losing two years of life to the pandemic have been insurmountable for many, and even more so for the elderly in rural areas.  Many of these feelings have led to reclusiveness and a reluctance to return to social settings.  Generations is pleased to announce that we have received notice of program funding that will allow us to reach out to people who are anxious about coming out of Covid-related isolation.

Our hope is to help reduce feelings of solitude and help seniors feel more comfortable about returning to social settings.  This program will involve folks coming together and sharing their stories.  Narratives from pandemic experiences will be collected to help inform professionals about how best to assist seniors with a return to normalcy.

Do you know someone who is still struggling with isolation due to fears about Covid?  If so, please contact our Social Services Coordinator, Emily at 215-723-1930.
