Generations will be closed on Tuesday, December 24 due to inclement weather. All scheduled programs including the holiday brunch and games are cancelled. Meals on Wheels will run as scheduled. As a friendly reminder we will be closed between Christmas and New Years and will reopen on January 2. Wishing all of our participants a very happy and safe holiday season. Planned Giving

You can make combating senior hunger and improving quality of lives part of your lasting legacy by including Generations of Indian Valley in your estate plans. Planned gifts can accommodate your lifestyle now while securing a stronger future for GIV.

There are many ways to include Generations of Indian Valley in your estate plans, including through your will, revocable trust, retirement plan, or life insurance policy. Several of those options are explained in detail below, and we recommend you speak to your financial and tax advisors to find the best option for you and your circumstances. Your financial advisor can help you meet your philanthropic goals while finding the best tax advantage for your estate and your heirs.

Gifts Through Your Will or Revocable Trust

Bequest

You can make a bequest to support Generations of Indian Valley by leaving all or some of your estate to GIV in your will or revocable trust. Bequests allow you to retain control of your assets now while making a significant gift in the future. You can modify your bequest at any time to accommodate changes in your life circumstances.

To include GIV in your will, you will need our Tax ID number and address, which can be found in the sample language below. Please consult with your estate attorney to add this information to your will.

To give a portion or the residuary of your estate:

I hereby give, devise and bequeath [all or a specified percentage] of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate to Generations of Indian Valley, a nonprofit corporation organized and existing under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and with current business address of 259 North Second Street, Souderton, PA 18964, to be used for its general purposes.

Gifts Through Your Retirement or Life Insurance Plan

You can make a gift to Generations of Indian Valley by listing us as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or retirement plan, including your 401K, 403B, or Individual Retirement Account (IRA). You can designate that Generations receive all or a portion of your assets, and you may change your designation at any time should your circumstances change.

To name Generations of Indian Valley as a beneficiary, notify your plan administrator that you’d like to change the beneficiary on your account. This can often be done through a simple beneficiary designation form available on your plan administrator’s website. You’ll need Generations’ address and Tax ID, which is listed below:
