This month’s feature is the award winning 1960 American romantic comedy-drama starring Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine.  Viewers be warned that although this classic is unrated, it contains references to suicide, sex, and adulterous affairs.  In keeping with censorship of the era, nothing explicit is shown.  Running time is 125 minutes.

THE NOTEBOOK

This month’s feature is The Notebook. It’s considered one of the most romantic films of all time. A poor yet passionate young man (Ryan Gosling) falls in love with a rich young woman (Rachel McAdams), giving her a sense of freedom, but they are soon separated because of their social differences. Running time is two hours and four minutes. This movie is rated PG-13 for some sexuality.

FAR & AWAY

This month’s feature is the drama/adventure Far & Away. Joseph (Tom Cruise) and his landlord's daughter, Shannon (Nicole Kidman), travel from Ireland to America in hopes of claiming free land in Oklahoma. The two must find new ways to scrape by as their affection for each other grows. Running time is two hours and twenty minutes. This movie is rated PG-13 for some language, sexuality, and violence.
